WHY IS IT SOMETIME NECESSARY TO PULL A TOOTH?
Removing teeth is never a dentist’s favorite option and we will first make sure we have done everything we can to save your tooth before we remove it. Sometimes extraction is necessary as part of another procedure (for example implants) but we will always make sure the extraction procedure is as quick and painless as possible.
Why will always discuss the consequences of the extraction with you and help you find a proper solution for the missing tooth. Sometimes, implants, bridges, or prosthesis are a good way to restore the functionally and we will carefully go over all of your options before we do anything irreversible.
DOES AN EXTRACTION HAVE TO BE PAINFUL?
Not at all. Most patients will not feel a thing from the actual extraction. but only feel a sight soreness for a few hours after the procedure. The dentist will always provide you with a mild painkiller to take home and give you clear instructions on how to take care of yourself over the next few days.
